Bufferstop Books opened its doors on June 23rd 2013.

It is run by Volunteers for the Friends of the Bure Valley Railway (FoBVR)  Our purpose is to support the BVR, which is a not for profit organisation.

A team of (currently) less than 20 volunteers run the shop, on a rota basis. You will usually find at least two of us there during opening hours.  Apart from raising money for the BVR we are all very passionate about books. Our stock covers every subject from fiction,biographies, history, arts,crafts, gardening, children’s and, of course railways. We also have a large Vinyl record section, including some Collectable 78s. There are also CDs and DVDs.

Our prices are low – books are mostly £1, cds and dvds 50p.Some collectable books and records are priced more highly, but usually lower than elsewhere(including online).

Do come and visit us, you never know what treasures you may find.
